The MAS Magnifique Facial! Brighten and Tighten Your Skin for Spring!

MAS Magnifique Facial, Dr. Nicholas Vendemia, MAS, Manhattan Aesthetic Surgery, Plastic Surgeon New York City, Skincare New York City, Facials NYC

Rejuvenate and relax with MAS Magnifique, Manhattan Aesthetic Surgery’s signature facial and glycolic peel.

This refreshing facial is designed to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and will leave your skin glowing! Many of the products used for this facial are part of the Vivite skin care line, created by Allergan (the same company who makes Botox, Juvederm, and Natrelle breast implants). All Vivite products are made with their unique GLX technology, which is a combination of glycolic acid and natural antioxidants. Together, these ingredients promote collagen, hyaluronic acid, and epidermal growth of the skin (essential components for healthy, radiant, young skin).

What is MAS Magnifique?

This facial begins with a gentle cleanser to wash away any make up, oil, and other irritants that build up on the skin throughout the day.

MAS Magnifique Facial, Dr. Nicholas Vendemia, MAS, Manhattan Aesthetic Surgery, Plastic Surgeon New York City, Skincare New York City, Facials NYCThe skin is then exfoliated, with the help of a high-speed clinical cleansing brush.  The brush helps the cleanser penetrate the skin, while gently scrubbing away the top layers of dead skin.  This leaves the skin looking fresh and smooth.

Next, the skin is prepared with a glycolic prep, designed to help the skin absorb the products evenly. Vivite’s glycolic peel is then applied to diminish pore size by taking exfoliation to a whole new level! A soothing peppermint mask is used after the peel has been washed off to cool and calm your skin, and a redness-reducing moisterizer with sunscreen is applied to complete the facial.

How long does it take?

It usually takes 30-45 minutes, depending on your skin type.

Is there any down time?

No, this is a mild peel that does not require any down time. You can immediately re-apply your make-up and go on with your day looking noticeably more radiant and beautiful.

How much does it cost?

The MAS Magnifique Facial is priced $175, but if you mention this article when you schedule your consultation, you’ll get it for $99!

How do I schedule a MAS Magnifique Facial?

Feel free to email me anytime, or call 917-703-7069 to make an appointment at our beautiful Park Avenue office in New York City!

The 4 “C’s” for Sunburn Relief

beauty, bad sunburn, skin care

model

Did Memorial Day leave you looking like a lobster?

Sunburns happen when UV light kills the layer of new cells just below your skin’s surface. Your immune system responds by sending healing fluid to the burn (the swelling and redness you see), while your nerves release pain messages to your brain to let it know that your skin is “well done”.

The only cure for a sunburn is time, but here are 4 soothing “C’s” to put out the flame while you’re waiting.

Naturally, your face wash removes most of the grime that manages to coat your complexion throughout the day, but it’s not always enough to give you the radiant glow you hope to see in the mirror every morning. Over time, tiny amounts of dirt and makeup can build up on the surface of your skin, and prevent its true beauty from shining through.

Time marches on… my face!

model

The Birthday Girl! Ahhh, that one day a year when it is all about you; the cake, well wishes, gifts, and  paparazzi-like picture taking that accompanies your celebration. Just about a year ago, after a fabulous evening of partying, a dreadful revelation occurred. I looked at the photos my friends had snapped and realized my face had changed… alot… overnight! It’s not that I thought it would never happen, I just expected it to be a bit more subtle, like how your hair grows out. or how your shopping bag fills up at Saks.

Years of gentle cleansers, moisturizers and sunscreens had convinced me that I was going to be exempt from the tests that Father Time gave me as I moved from my 20’s to 30’s. Not so! I wash my face at night and look up to see that apparently my eyebrows were not waterproof. My usual sunscreen and hat on vacation did not protect me from the affliction of a “sunstache” over my lip.  A little less luster, a few more spots, a tiny crease, and another tiny crease, and another- ladies, we are under attack!

So here is the battle plan: Fight Fine Lines! We are going to launch a assault on aging. From the inside out, head to toe, product to program, this is where our arsenal builds up. Check in with us several times each week for the latest strategies. We can rethink our routines, refresh our energy , and renew our armor.  Age gracefully? Not without a very beautiful fight!

So, about that  “sunstache”….
