With international fashion lines, two ultra-cool kids, a rock star husband, and hit albums spanning more than a decade, Gwen Stefani has done it all and still found time to maintain her trademark style (and killer figure)! Gwen is recognized around the world for her signature red lipstick and fresh, fearless style, and unstoppable energy.

Shea, our A.P.A. (Aesthetic Physician’s Assistant), says…
Before putting any makeup on, Gwen always exfoliates and moisturizes. It’s a vital part of her beauty routine because makeup always looks best when you have clean and hydrated skin to work with. Even with a “Rich Girl’s” bank account, her favorite moisturizer can is Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer with soy, which you can find at Walgreens for $14. I would also recommend Vivite’s Exfoliating Facial Cleanser,
with professional strength ingredients to help brush away dull skin, leaving you looking healthy and fresh .
California living taught Gwen to be cautious about sun exposure and she is another huge advocate of wearing sunscreen everyday to prevent fine lines and aging. I recommend Neutrogrena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock, ($9.49, drugstore.com) because its lightweight, oil free, and comes in SPF’s up to 100 (seriously!). Perfect protection for porcelain skin whether you’re out in Orange County or Okinawa!

I’m just a girl… and so is Gwen!
Where do I start with Gwen Stefani’s looks? She is such a style icon, always a step ahead with her bold fashion and glammed out gorgeous face! If I had to pick the feature that stands out most about her face, though, it would be her cherry-pop lips.
Red lipstick will vamp-up any woman, but Gwen has full-on turned them into her signature piece. Bright lips need an extra-smooth base. I love the Brown Sugar Lip Polish from Fresh, ($22.50, beauty.com), to erase any sign of chapped or rough skin. Keep things smooth with Nivea’s Kiss of Moisture lip treatment, ($2.50, soap.com), and finish off your look with just the right shade of red for your skin tone.
If you’re fair, be bold and go as red as you possibly can! Not only will your lips lock things down, but it will brighten your hair and play up your eyes as well. Revlon’s Color Burst lipstick in True Red is as classic as you can get and a steal at $6.49, (target.com).
Medium and olive skin tones do well with a slightly richer red or even berry burst. Clinique’s Dramatically Different lipstick in Angel Red, ($14.50, clinique.com), gives lips a cranberry hued blush for just the right amount of drama. Darker skin tones can bring on the drama with a deeper crimson hue. Check out MAC’s Color Plus lipstick in Chili, ($14.50, maccosmetics.com), to spice things up.
No only will you feel gorgeous and glam like Gwen, but your lips will pull together your overall look and have your smile shining as bright as her starlight does too!
Dr. V, our Celebrity Plastic Surgeon, says…
Being a plastic surgeon in New York City usually makes it pretty easy for me to make beauty recommendations, but, to be completely honest, there’s not a whole lot for me to say about Gwen. Her skin is gorgeous, there’s not a wrinkle in site, her lips and cheeks are beautiful, and her facial proportions are nearly perfect.
The only thing I can say to Gwen is that she should keep up on her Botox to keep those wrinkles at bay. I’m a strong believer in Preventative Botox Therapy (PBT) which is designed to start relaxing the facial muscles that are responsible for creating wrinkles before the wrinkles become a problem. Once the wrinkles are set in the surface of the skin, Botox cannot remove them completely, so your best bet is to stop them before they start!
